No.3 Daley Mathison?
No.1 Neil Gregory ?
2013 MGP
If it's right, thanks to Alfie Noakes for the heads up.

RE: Who, What, Where, When? - Splashdown - 29-12-2020

Daft thing is that No 1 does LOOK like DJ, and I think he briefly rode with that helmet. You would think that I would recognise my own Nephew. But there's no way that No 3 would be ahead of him, so yes, I would say it's MGP Newcomers.

RE: Who, What, Where, When? - sticky - 29-12-2020

Sorry Sprocket - have another go! It was an ugly day for weather...surorised they set them off to be honest

RE: Who, What, Where, When? - Chris_Sav - 31-12-2020

Ivan Lintin in the background on the Suki, finally spotted the helmet in the 2008 junior.

Always remember him at LB2 paddling down the river from Glen Helen trying to get back under red flags.

Which makes it Ryan Kneen on number 3.

Think I can have  new year's jinkipoos now!

RE: Who, What, Where, When? - sticky - 31-12-2020

Right on both Chris.  Ryan Kneen leading Ivan Lintin into Braddan, lap 2 of the 2008 MGP Newcomers.  It was a filthy day (horrible weather throughout), wet and cold.  8 degrees sticks in my mind for some reason...

I'll dig out some more stuff and post it tomorrow

RE: Who, What, Where, When? - sticky - 02-01-2021

As today is my birthday and you can do what you like on your birthday (kind of...), I'm going to  throw you another curve ball...  The pic below is not of the Island but taken from the Island, so the question is whereabouts did I take it from?  I'm not totally cruel, so I'll allow a bit of latitude Icon_smile

Point of Ayre Lighthouse

RE: Who, What, Where, When? - sprocket - 02-01-2021

First off, happy birthday sticky. Hope you're having a good one.
Regarding the photo, I'd agree with eman1948. I think the point of Ayre is the closest point to the mainland. Please correct me if that's not the case.

RE: Who, What, Where, When? - sticky - 02-01-2021

Cheers Sprocket - just about to get outside a curry...

Not Point of Ayre although I can understand why you might think it was.

Herring tower car park looking across towards Castletown ?

RE: Who, What, Where, When? - Chris_Sav - 03-01-2021

If the view is not the island taken but from on the island I guess that rules out the deck of the Ben?

I just don't remember anywhere looking that close!! Must have been a very clear day and a lot of zoom!

Happy birthday for yesterday.

RE: Who, What, Where, When? - Alfie Noakes - 03-01-2021
