I'm back!!
You've very nearly got it all sorted!!
Chris_Sav with The Bottom of Sky Hill,
& Dan Hegarty,
sprocket with Martin Jessop & would have seen it was James Coward at the rear,
'cos it was indeed 29 & that was too small to read!

Well that was definitely another team effort, without the help from Chris_sav I wouldn't have got it.

Excellent photo......and quiz question. The riders really don't look to be travelling fast enough for Sky Hill, one of my favourite sections. And I thought I knew the course!!

Thanks Nick, when viewing the pictures with friends once, none of them knew where it was,
it's only obvious once you've been & watched from there!
There seems to be a variety of ways of taking the corner - some more spectacular than others!

Ian Hutchinson on the Tyco BMW stocker 2017.

I was stuffed until the second photo gave more clues - more enjoyable trawling thanks

Never watched from there before I started marshalling and now won't!, looks a good bend which is what I like.

I'll just throw another one in here, a bit easier this time!

Not sure about the rider but it looks like the approach to Greeba Castle

I would have thought that the shadow is on the wrong side for there, looks like he's travelling West to East, possibly in the Laurel Bank - Glen Helen area but I cannot think of a derestrcted area.

If it's 2018 it could be Barry Furber on the stocker ?

RE: Who, What, Where, When? - sprocket - 10-02-2021

Maybe the left-hander after Sarah's cottage heading up towards cronkyvoddy ?

RE: Who, What, Where, When? - Alfie Noakes - 10-02-2021

^^^ with AndyC @ the left crest before Greeba Castle, it's about here you find out if the jetting is right on your 250/350 2-poke that has been nailed on the pin since Union Mills hehe.

RE: Who, What, Where, When? - Yamaham - 10-02-2021

Struggling with the where on this! Is it the left hander before the approach into Kirk Michael?

RE: Who, What, Where, When? - Sam Pato - 11-02-2021

I spent ages trying to work this out and ended up cheating by watching a video of some bloke riding the course in 2013 on YouTube. I was looking for the road sign to confirm location. I sort of ruled out all my possibles by the signpost not being there but I've just realised it may have been installed since the video. It (signpost) wasn't on the entry to Greeba Castle in 2013 but the crest looks about right.

I know this may seem a little too obvious but is it the entry to Greeba Bridge?

RE: Who, What, Where, When? - Splashdown - 11-02-2021

I've even been on Google Maps and not found it!!!

RE: Who, What, Where, When? - sprocket - 11-02-2021

Another guess.... the left hander after Ginger hall... before you drop down to Kerrow moar ?

This has got me worried!! Confused  I've had to recheck my pics!
AndyC actually got it straight away! followed by Alfie Noakes, Well done.
I think the angle I took it doesn't help, & I can't for the life of me think why there seems to be a caravan up a hill in the background.

When checking stuff before I chanced upon a BBC webpage I've never seen - https://www.bbc.com/sport/extra/A2IAqeBvdI/racing-on-the-edge#group-testing-limits-PxXruxb5wI

B.T.W. it was 2005, & I was on the pavement (on the floor I think!) at the entrance to "Greeba Veranda" as they called it once!

RE: Who, What, Where, When? - HammerHead - 11-02-2021

It's the lens compression in the pic which makes it hard to spot sometimes where it is, because your eyes don't see things the same way. I was just looking at Google Maps to see if I could spot the signpost: I found this but I still wasn't sure though. Great pic Captain.

RE: Who, What, Where, When? - AndyC - 11-02-2021

Glad I got it right as I used to marshal at Greeba Castle 😃. I suspect the building in the background on the hill is the old Wagon and Horses pub ( where the jump is after the Crosby pub)
