we arrive Gorse Lea for around 7am to get the very far left spec where you can see the bikes exiting close to the boards.

There's only one line if you're going to get through there flat out. Early apex, or you'll never make it. Amazing corner.

I've a couple of minutes footage from just a few feet away from that spot Alfie, the Formula Classic TT (Superbike?)

Pretty sure it's Russ Mountford, could be 2014

RE: Who, What, Where, When? - captainsparkledotcom - 19-02-2021

yes, I think it's Russ Mountford too, he rode for Silicone just before Deano.

edit: Looks like Monty on the back of his helmet, too!

No correct answers yet

RE: Who, What, Where, When? - Yamaham - 21-02-2021

Is it one of the bends at Cronk ny Mona, heading down to Signpost? The steep grass banks seem about right. Not sure if you would be able to see someone in their garden though.

RE: Who, What, Where, When? - dommyman - 21-02-2021

You got it Yamaham, I had permission to stand in a kind gentleman's garden, more or less opposite the Signpost marker board. Great viewing spot and I had it all to myself.

RE: Who, What, Where, When? - Yamaham - 21-02-2021

I had to get one right eventually!!

Have watched from a spot just before there, at the the junction at Johnny Watersons Lane. Am I right in thinking that there is three left-hand bends that start from there, that are taken as one. The last apex being the one in your pic Dommyman? I can't beleive how fast the riders take it anyway!

How did you manage to gain access to the garden? There are quite a few gardens round the course that I would love to watch from. Don't think many would appreciate me chapping on their door though.

RE: Who, What, Where, When? - dommyman - 22-02-2021

Yes you are correct Yamaham, it's like one sweeping bend taken very fast. I made friends with a local man a few years ago and he happens to know the family that own the bungalow. The owner does not watch the racing anymore, ever since a rider crashed and came over the garden wall some time ago. He doesn't mind my friend and I watching from his garden and he even provides a step ladder so we can get up on his wall.
