Leighton Hall Hill Climb/Sprint - captainsparkledotcom - 25-09-2021

Takes place tomorrow (Sunday 26th September) at Leighton Hall, just outside Carnforth, Lancs.
I shall be there with my compadre The Famous Mr. Led.
No. 23 once more,
it's going to be hot!(the weather I mean, not me!)

Looking forward to a good day out I am running number 37 - a bit of light relief after months of covid restricted weekends.

Alex Smith - 1994 VFR750 Honda (dressed up as an RC 45 )

Good luck!
I usually run my Triumph Rocket (to the amazement of everyone, myself included!) but quite slowly! Confused
This time I'm on my 1954 Triton, No. 23.

How did it go chaps?

It was a "reet grand day out", well run, even got an extra run in at the end of the day!
Didn't win anything, but I think I was top of my class (4b),
missed the final run times, so I'll have to wait ,til they're online.
Big thanks to Marshals North West.

Well out of shape during the early morning practice runs over a damp and greasy course - later in the day the sun shone, the course dried out to perfection and my 3 timed runs all showed improvements - running in the 12 second bracket against contemporary GSXR's, R1's etc.
Given that the 'youngsters' were obviously a bit swift I knew I was up against it but thoroughly enjoyed the outing and spent the the day in the company of both old and new friends, notably absorbing the stories of Steve Tonkin and Chris McGaghan.
Trust Captain Sparkle had as good a day and I must add my thanks to Marshalls North West - well done team!
