TT Fan Park 'will give greater access for spectators'

Host says it'll offer more immersive experience for fans

The fan zone expected to be in place for this year's TT will 'give greater access for spectators'.

That's the belief of its host, Chris Pritchard, with preparations continuing for the racing festival later this year.

He believes it will allow fans to enjoy a more immersive day-to-day experience as well as give spectators more opportunity to connect with riders.

Mr Pritchard, who's also host of the TT podcast, says he can't wait for the racing to return

To be fair, there are worse places to enjoy a £5 pint

Like it or not, you have to put on an all consuming ‘show’ these days. There are not enough crusty oily grizzly biker fans to replace the old ones. Too many opportunities for the younger generation to spend their money elsewhere. Apples to oranges but the UGP is on life support. Attracting new fans is critical to ensuring the Manx Govt continues to write a cheque each year. It’s all a bit of a side show for me but the very core remains - radio, marshal bib, lunch box, racing and a few beers at the end of the day. If Carlsberg did perfect days………………….

Couldn't agree more - well said!

I may be 67 years old, but I accept changes are inevitable & not worth getting upset about, life's way too short
