Front page puzzler - Anonymous - 13-01-2005

Well, I've only had a couple of minutes to look and I'll come back to it, but here's the easy ones-- the incomparable Mike Hailwood, the wee marvel,Bill Ivy, Frank Perris, The wonderful Pat Mahoney and Alan Barnett, the great Terry Vinicombe. The boss himself...off to have a think....

I stand suitably chastised as a passenger myself!

Re: Front page puzzler - Anonymous - 14-01-2005

Thanks Malcolm. I was trying to do that for Mike, and the whole darn bulletin board disappeared. So I went and had a drink....

Re: Front page puzzler - Anonymous - 14-01-2005

Lewis Young,Hartle,Mike, Perris,Hagon, Uncle Tom,Mahoney, Degens, Barnett,Conn, Ivy, Vinicombe & Flaxman not sure of the scrambler, also not sure if they all rode for Tom.Doubtfull about Perris & Conn, Hagon dabled with racing but stuck with his sprinting & grasstrack racing for Tom.Some talent!

Re: Front page puzzler - Anonymous - 14-01-2005

Yeah, that was me stowing past postings away in the offline database, sorry about that. I usually do it in the wee dark hours, but noticed the total number of postings approaching the 90%+ limit I have set and decided to do it then, rather than wait for someone to point out to me that the board was playing up.

Sorry for any inconvenience folks.

Re: Front page puzzler - Anonymous - 14-01-2005

Thanks for all your responses, I did know some, the obvious ones. Could the scrambles rider possibly be one of the Rickman Brothers?

Re: Front page puzzler - Anonymous - 16-01-2005

Wow!

I can see Dave Degens, Frank Perris and is that Cris Conn?

Yes, staying in a cottake close to sulby bridge!
See you there Malcolm?

Look us up?

Re: Front page puzzler - Anonymous - 20-01-2005

Reckon they are:

Lewis Young
John Hartle
Mike Hailwood (Whom I though had bought it after he kissed footrests with Derek Minter at Brands one year)
Frank Perris
Alf Hagon
Tom Kirby
Pat Mahoney
Dave Degens (he of Dresda Triton fame)
Alan Barnett
Chris Conn
Don Rickman

Bill Ivy (who died far too young)
Terry Vinicombe
John Flaxman

What a great bunch!
