Of course I'm booked, I shall be in residence, Kirk Michael on Thursday of Practice Week. My brother informs me he's just booked for MGP 2008 as well!

Friday I shall endeavour to be aboard the early morning practice bus. Looking forward to hearing Ian's Honda six.

Saturday I shall have the best seat in the house to witness Guy Martin's first TT win. Cargo, please note: Not at the "K". You've managed to make that kink a whole lot scarier for me with your transfixation with that blessed tree!

Sunday, has to be favourite for a forum meet up? Casteltown pm anyone?

Roll on TT 08, alf

y2blade,

Why not extend it by another day, and then you would get the Steam Packet races in too  Well worth it Smile

- sticky - 02-10-2007

Booked from the first day of classic practice at Billown to the Sunday after it all ends. y2blade, Kev's right about the Steam Packet races, which might also contain a couple of extra 'TT' races next year! Extend by a day mate, you won't regret it.

- Crofter - 03-10-2007

Me and Mrs Crofter are booked for TT 2008 and I have to admit to
getting TT vids out of the cupboard to watch every now and then.

I have booked so as I can see the Billtown races as I have never seen them.

Ian, after you're record, did they 'up the anti' for last June???
Shame if they did

Memory - ian huntly - 04-11-2007

Looking back, I feel my 50th year was a lot more memorable than my 60th..

A very large bunch of us, representing every angle of the TT, took over all of the upstairs of that posh Quayside restaurant, we had speeches and dedications, and congratulatory messages came for me from all over the world.....and I got a unique TT50 plaque which had been prepared in advance with my properly spelt name for all to see. (I still have it )

In my 60th year, I got a very nice tankard and a dinner with a few close friends so I think I will remember my 50th more than my 60th.

Now if I can get to 100 years then I might have another posh night out..

To answer your comment, my homestay have been great and have maintained sensible levels, after all I am B & B there, it is food and drink outside where I noticed the hikes.

The Hilton have looked after me for many years since I take people there for evening meals, and the costs have been sensible and the perks have been noteworthy. But go to a cafe or restaurant elsewhere and prices compared with the steady rises we encounter did not stick to a constant and rose very steeply in 2007.

Here's to 2008 so I can compare !
