Can anyone local tell us if these roadworks will have any influence on the TT course in regard to line camber etc ?

Hard to tell from those pictures.

I'm prepared to bet it will be a little faster

No doubt the wall on the inside will be gone

So this is where they are trying out a section of scalextric for the bikes and sidecar outfits.

This is very much an experiment for 2008 and if successful wil be increased to cover the full 37.73 miles...

It is thought that this is the first attempt to make the circuit supersafe since the machines will be controlled from the grandstand using a camera on the bikes and the "riders" will each have a controller to make the bike go fast or slow.

There WILL be overtaking areas but the TT will be as before, the bikes are set off separately at intervals..
