A Hislop - pykey - 25-01-2008 Now then we all Knew Steve Hislop but i was reading an old programe 1959 MGP and there was A Hislop entered in the junior race and he was from Hawick was he any relation please? - thewitch - 25-01-2008 That was his Dad, Sandy, who was a great rider, but retired when Steven was born. He came back to racing when Steven was a teenager, but he died very suddenly when he was 42. In the Manx results you would also find his wee brother Garry. Garry was extremely talented, and set for a great career, but died, aged 17 or 18, in a freak, low speed accident at Silloth. He had just returned from winning the 350 newcomers Manx in 1982.
