Thank you very much, everyone. I thought you might be interested to know who else is celebrating today, and who might have been if they were still with us!
It's clearly a petrolhead day... don't know how that's expressed astrologically... as I share my birthday with Stirling Moss and Damon Hill.On the very same day as me a footballer called Billy Bonds was born.. knowing as little as I do about footballing stuff, I haven't a clue who he is, but we're exactly the same age.
Brian Matthew, whose Saturday Club I never missed, and Ann Bancroft are also partying today.
Little Mo Connolly, the great tennis player, is sadly no longer with us, and neither is Hank Williams, but they were 17 September babies as was........Good King Wenceslas!
So, as you see, an auspicious day to be born!

I've had a lovely day.
Paid a visit to a friend, had a visit from Ali C, lots of cards... phone calls from Jan in Oz (and I missed one from Eliz in Texas!) and other lovely people nearer home. Thank you to everyone.
I had my induction session for my degree course... Chester Uni, via Isle of Man College.. good time to start being a student?
The weather was kind too!

Unfortunately, as I am not studying at Hogwarts, I had to settle for a history degree, with a Manx history and heritage element.
Pretty daunting workload....
