I know that this is really not a "TT" question. Can anybody please tell me why Rossi and others take their foot of their footrests and stick their legs out as they start to peel of for a corner. I have not heard any reason why from Steve Parrish during his excellent commentarys.

to make themselves look like nancy boys. real men don't stick their legs out when cornering or they'd either catch their foot in a drain cover or clout it on the kerb. bunch of wimps.
