There was a crack-down with a load of new restricted areas a few years ago wasn't there, in response to a bad accident, and I think a few of those new restrictions have been wound back since. I guess...

Definitely worth checking the charges. Last time I looked, calls within the IOM were as cheap on my UK PAYG SIM (a supermarket one) as with a local Manx PAYG SIM.

The old railway line is a nice flat cycle route, goes up the west side of the island and links Kirkmichael, Ballaugh, Quarry Bends, Sulby and Ramsey on the course.
