Southern 100 Racing is deeply indebted to the people behind the RoadRacingSupporters.com website for its generous donation of £1400 towards the cost of the Rescue Helicopter at the Southern 100 International Road Races.

Kevin Collier, Andy Findlay and Stu Baker, administrators of the popular website travelled over to the Isle of Man to present the cheque to the Southern ‘100’ organisers at the Old Market Inn Douglas, who are also supporters of the Billown Races.

George Peach thanked the three visitors for taking the trouble to travel to the Island saying: “The Rescue Helicopter is an essential service that all involved with the July races hope remains grounded, but it is comforting to know that if it is required it is available and it is generous donations such as this from the Road Racing Supporters website through the sales of their excellent calendar that we are able to ensure that the Rescue Helicopter is available at Billown.”

Kevin Collier said: “We are more than happy to be associated with the Southern 100 Road Races and in particular the Rescue Helicopter and the response we have received from fans and enthusiasts who bought the 2011 calendar are also behind us. We are already planning the calendar for 2012, which hopefully will be available in Mid September.
