New marshal needed to allow TT pit lane practice
[Image: energyfmlogo.gif]

The new Clerk of the Course for TT says the paddock area will be better policed next year, with the introduction of a new role.

Stuart Drummond will take up the post of Chief Paddock Marshal from the 2012 event.

Gary Thompson, who is to take over as Clerk of the Course from Eddie Nelson, says the position is needed to allow solo riders to practice in the pit lane.

This year saw the pits open to solo riders to set their speed limiters whilst the sidecars practiced, resulting in a busy park ferme area.

Mr Thompson says the Chief Paddock Marshal will help control the extra traffic.

RE: New marshal needed to allow TT pit lane practice
So a sidecar outfit coming in during practice is quite likely to trip over a solo busy setting his speed limiter?

Sounds like a job for the new Safety Officer . . . . . .

Or maybe not
