Denis Gallagher, on of my heroes has sadly passed away peacefully today in hospital. Phyllis his wife was by his side. I first seen Dennis racing along with Brian Steenson and Cecil Crawford, and his distinctive green pudding basin helmet became a familir sight for me at races. Words fail me at present, but suffice to say,it was a real honour to have known you.My Condolences to the Family Circle and all his friends.He was a staunch supporter of road racing in Ireland.

Dennis was a joy to watch and even at his advanced age he could still show many a young gun the way home.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
