foreign tt equivalent?
Right, we all know how great the tt is but I was wondering. We get folks coming from all over the world to see it. Is there a similar event in excitement and experience in the far flung parts, let's say usa, Canada, Australia or new Zealand for instance. The trip these folks make from the aforementioned countries make my 50 mile ride to heysham feel guilty (ha ha).....

I think there is a race on public roads in New Zealand around December , didn't Guy Martin race in it last year, Cemetary Circuit at Wanagui or something like that rings a bell ? Confused       https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYbpg6Q50pc      Enjoy ! Crossfingers

Something in America called The Dragons Tail. Sounds like its like a bigger version of the Cat and Fiddle run without the traffic and Police. Fella stopped at the same digs last year telling us all about it. They apparently take bikes with campers etc for a big stopover.
It seemed very popular.

It's all kinds of vehicles not just bikes, but there are I believe two events each year on the Bonneville salt flats in Utah vying for land speed records in multiple classes of vehicles that last for at least a week and draw competitors from all over the world.  In fact Burt Munro held a number of records there and he came all the way from New Zealand to do it.  They made a movie starring Anthony Hopkins about it called Worlds Fastest Indian.

The other event that comes to mind is the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. It's been going on since 1916.  I think it lasts for 6 days.  Guy Martin competed in it this year and he did pretty well even though they couldn't get his Turbo GSXR 1100 to run properly.
