What happened Sparks ?? the years were kind to me ( still as handsome as ever ) still in to motorbikes (didn't retire to tractors ) and still young at heart and ready for the next adventure ( or in other words still as daft as a brush ) lol

No sorry Sticks no its a fire breathing Royal Enfield 250 Clipper with solid rigid foot pegs that made far too many attempts at digging trenches in tarmac sending the rider sliding down the road wondering what went wrong, lol happy days

I like it Dommy , a proper bike and look at that in focus , I was never a stinker man me self, till a couple of years back when i got the DT now I just love them , would love to get my hands on a 350 YPVS ,

As a somewhat senior (in years) member I would join in and maybe even post a pic or two...
But 2 things stop me.  
1, I'm not quite as "senior" as you guys
2, My first bike was an 250 AJS, model 14 ( I think) and let's be honest it wasn't going to set the world on fire, scortch tarmac, or pull the "lasses"

An amazing bike. In a 30 mph zone it used to "fire" approximately at every lamp post... and did an amazing 500 miles per crank pin.

Eventually I upgraded to a Royal Oilfield 250 Continental GT.. The 5 speed version.  Decked it out with "clip-ons, fibre-glass racing tank, 1/2 fairing, racing seat, and a reverse cone mega. Smile  
An amazing bike. 5 speed gearbox with at least 25 neutral "gears" Sad

My second bike was a 250cc AJS the same as you Shooie.  As you say "It wasn't going to set the world on fire" but it sounded like a real bike to me in those days. Agreed, frequent engine rebuilds were the norm, but we didn't care.

I liked my old Enfield I had a 350 engine that externally was identical to look at , so what was a young man to do ?? one weekend while at a loose end while Dad was away the 350 lump was slotted in , not that it made that much difference , little bit more grunt down the bottom end but next to nothing at the top , one disappointed young man

Like the BSA Dommy a good old work horse I always thought , how I would love a old Brit twin , but the prices for any thing half decent is out of my reach , sob sob sob .
