William Dunlop bagged his third victory of the season on the Chris Dowd/Ivan Curran Racing Caffrey Yamaha with a comfortable win in the wet at the Tandragee 100 on Saturday.

Dunlop, who started the race from pole, quickly overhauled early leader Jamie Hamilton (Cookstown/B.E. Racing Honda) to hit the front on ultra-trick YZF-R6 and streaked away from the chasing pack, stretching his advantage with each lap that passed to eventually win by 8.6 seconds from Mullingar rider Derek McGee (Wilson Craig Honda), who slotted into the runner-up spot after passing Hamilton on lap three.

It was Dunlop’s third Supersport success on the trot after the 29-year-old’s double in the class at the Irish road racing season-opener at Cookstown in April.

Cullybackey’s Sam Wilson finished an excellent fourth, with Colin Stephenson and Isle of Man rider Billy Redmayne completing the top six at the Co Armagh circuit after four laps.
