What was the better lap ...
Having watched the TT2015 : 130 Club it's really apparent that the fast laps are all about not making mistakes, or making as few as possible.

With that in mind, and the cost difference between the two machines ... What do you think was the better lap.

Bruce in the 2014 1st Superbike in a time of 17:06.682 / @ 132.298 MPH

Or

MD in the 2013 SuperStock in a time of 17:15.114 / @ 131.220 MPH

RE: What was the better lap ...
Watching Bruce's lap and his commentary, he was saying it was a bit messy for him. As he said, lost at least 2secs at Creg by going in too quick, by braking too late. But, he did it, and posted 132mph. More to come from Bruce. Hard to think of the perfect lap when you look at sector times. If someone like Bruce, MD or JM130 produces the perfect lap, I reckon it will be 133, possibly 134

I bet that the first lap under 17 minutes isn't far away. With the rider's skills today and the current technology it will come soon if the weather conditions are the right.
Don't be that optimistic! The light in the tunnel can be a train. Sad

I hope they use Joey's (and some other riders) mantra, win at the slowest possible speed, get home safe.
having said that, the footage of Bruce's lap made me gasp a couple of times, exhilirating to watch.

Wow not much! I was watching at Milntown and he came around there with feet off the pegs well out of shape! We all knew he was on it in a big way, trying hard indeed.

And yet it wasn't fastest in any individual sector! In the "other place" I remember someone posting all the info about the fastest sectors - anyone know what would be the lap time if all the best ever sectors were strung together?

(Not that I'd expect such a lap to necessarily be possible, given the bike setup compromises that have to be made around such a varied course.)

When I spoke to Bruce just after the lap he was very laid-back about it and just said it was an "OK" lap. But then he is known for being laid back about everything.
After speaking to both our riders recently I can report they are both in a very good frame of mind and I wouldn't be surprised if either or both Bruce and JMcG turn in something special this TT, starting with Superbikes this weekend.
