The Bike Bonanza is BACK!

Morecambe Missile and 23 times Isle of Man TT winner John McGuinness will headline the Mallory Bike Bonanza 2015, and for the first time ever he will be showing an exclusive collection of his very own motorcycles.

Joining John is local racing hero Ray Stringer who will relive his 1991 Transatlantic Match Race victory aboard his Yamaha FZR1000.  Spectators can also expect to see racing legends Mick Grant, Steve Parrish, Ian Hutchinson, Michael Dunlop, Alex George, Rex Butcher, John Cooper, Colin Seeley, Paul Smart, Ryuichi Kiyonari, Michael Rutter, Tony Rutter and Chas Mortimer amongst the stars in and around the paddock over the weekend. More guest names will be announced as we lead up to the event.

This years event will feature an exciting twist with the inclusion of 2 very special International Classic Grand Prix feature races being held on the Sunday.  Established in 1999 by former French Grand Prix racer Eric Saul, the ICGP is a classic motorcycle championship featuring 250cc-350cc Grand Prix machines from 1970s-1980s era.  Riders in this event include Bernard Fau, Ian Simpson, Guy Bertin and William Gougy.

Around those top races, the Mallory Bike Bonanza will have plenty more track action with PR5 road bike parades on Saturday and PR6 race bike parades on Sunday. Anyone wanting to experience riding the circuit by taking part in either of the track parades, can do so by downloading an entry form here.

Away from the track, more than 20 motorcycle owners clubs have already signed up to take part in Club Central, promising a great display of machinery from many different manufacturers and many different eras.  There will also be live music on both Friday and Saturday evenings as well as an exclusive ‘mini’ MAD Tour with Steve Parrish.

The ex-BBC commentator, motorcycle racer, truck racer and the eternal practical joker, aka Stavros, will take to the stage in the Hailwood Suite on the Friday for an enjoyable evening of funny stories, moving tales and sharing his passion for living life to the full!  Reminiscing of the days when PC stood for pulling crumpet and Health and Safety hadn’t been invented, Steve will give you an incite into his MAD life with snippets from his successful MAD Tour.  Tickets for the ‘mini’ MAD Tour are priced at £12 and are available to purchase now.  Please note: The ‘mini’ MAD Tour is strictly a ticket only event, exclusively for Bike Bonanza weekend ticket holders.

The Mallory Bike Bonanza is organised by the circuit’s management team Real Motorsport Ltd and Director Eddie Roberts said “We’re really excited that the Bike Bonanza is returning again this year, last year was hugely successful and it was organised in such a short space of time, so with more time to prepare this year we know that it can only get better.  Having TT legend that is John McGuinness joining us and with his own collection of motorcycles on display for the first time ever, well that really is going to be something special!”
