Ferry Crossings
Have been offered a poor crossing over for next year's tt was late getting to the steam packet to book so my own fault I suppose , can't get over till the Tuesday of race week iam cheesed off that I will have to miss two race days wanted to ask if it's worth waiting till till payments are due at the end of Feb and they will get some cancellations or travelling up to heysham a couple of days early and going on standby with the hope of getting across? Has anybody failed to get on with standby?

RE: Ferry Crossings
you could always change it if another comes available
if you dont book it and none pops up your in a even more misrable situation
standby is a gamble nowadays years ago i never booked and always got on

There are always cancellations, so best thing to do is pay up and at the end of Feb get on to the Steam Racket and see what comes up.

A couple of years ago, I was in the same situation.

I checked daily on the SP website and managed to change my bookings for better sailings, before full payment was made.

That meant no addition costs to change sailing.

This assumes an on-line booking....

If you register online with the Steam Packet you can log in at any time and amend you r booking yourself when sailings become available worked well for us this year. We changed our ferry the night before we sailed and got far better times.
