S100 Transport
This one's a long shot. Four of us are flying over on Wednesday for the Southern 100, we're staying in Colby and we were planning to use public transport over there. I'm having second thoughts now so can anyone advise whether public transport is ok on the Island and if not can you suggest a good hire car company at the airport?

The public transport is very good we have used it on many occasions and its never let us down there is a couple of bus stops in Colby if my memory serves me right they may have bus timetables in the airport its worth checking when you get there.

Many thanks RR. We're really looking forward to our first Southern 100 and we're now resolved to use public transport. Roll on Wednesday!

RE: S100 Transport
We stayed in Port Erin a few years back and caught the Douglas bus. The driver asked us where we wanted to spectate, dropped us off at Ballanorris (restricted area now unfortuately) and told us if we were still there when the roads reopened he would pick us up and did!
Enjoy your first Southern. You won't be disappointed.

There's a regular service between Port Erin and Ballabeg during the races

The S100 is a fantastic event I really enjoy it has a real happy old skool feel about it much like Aberdare park, I also agree on the public transport front and as scaramanga said church bends are well worth a watch. Fingers crossed for some sunshine have a good one.
