RE: Charlie Williams
my TZ 350 hero, Charlie's near 113mph lap in 1979 has to be one of the best laps ever on a small 2-stroke especially given the state of the roads in those days and that was well before any course/corner changes. Jon Ekerold's book "The Privateer" is another good read about 350's

Moon eyes
Here's another one (moon eyes) it's about the racing career of John Cooper the younger one's of the forum probably won't remember him but he was a top racer in the sixties it's more a thick magazine but at £6.99 is well worth it

Alfie you are quite right did most of his winning on two strokes and still a fierce competitor on a old rudge to this day not bad for a chap of 68 years old

RE: Charlie Williams
I'd like a copy of both Charlie Williams's and John Cooper's books. Can anyone advise where I can buy them?

I got mine from the classic bike show at Stafford, but if you Google it you can buy the John Cooper one on line tried to find the Charlie one to but no luck but if you or any of your mates are going to the TT i would think you could get one there or even try ringing( every thing but bikes) in Chester his mate runs it now, good luck.
