RE: TT Live App.
The radio was buffering a lot on my secret radio recording device, there was a post on net about Manx Radio knew about the problem and was working on it, most likely they turned up the bandwidth due to the heavy load.

Saw a live feed on FaceBook where someone on the IOM live streamed the AM broadcast from his car to help out people in the TT groups that were getting dropouts. Now that is HiTECH!

Have to say, this is the worst coverage that we have had Radio wise,
Its like going back 20 years with Buffering, on all Devices here,
Somebody has Fecked up good style in the Gov over there !!
If it aint broke why try and fix it, and muck it up for so many people,

I've had a perfect radio since I gave up on the app one before the sidecars started. Use this tunein app to follow manx radio. Also made the experience appreciably better by having two computers side by side, one on the "leaderboard" the other on "laps and sectors" , a vast improvement.

That's pretty well what I did. Leaderboard on the laptop, remainder on iPad. Gave me excellent coverage - plus of course the live commentary. Party1

RE: TT Live App.
Having been on the Island previously I hadn't really looked at it until yesterday.

Live timing was well ahead of the radio (wasn't aware of the Tune In thing until just now). At least a sector, if not more ahead. But...

I found the "Leaderboard" tab really hard to follow - it had lap times but no lap speeds - and some riders seemed to disappear. Positions didn't match either - there were more than one rider in the same position at the same sector. The "Laps and Sectors" tab would not load at all so I have no idea if that would have been useful!

The old system used to be a bit frustrating sometimes when following the leader it would jump to the sector the leader was on, but it was far better than the current system which seems to be trying to do everything but without getting the basics right first.

I dislike the new Live Timing immensely. Nowhere as good as the Duke one. Manx Radio coverage very poor, hope they rectified it for today. So disappointing 😟

G'day Jan!

Hows it going?

I'm just on a plane to Perth with wifi - hopefully get to my hotel room in time for the SS2 race.

My manx radio feed was terrible no matter what device I tried but our google home was faultless - then I realised it was via Tunein (google it - ignore the sign in and just search on Manx Radio AM). So I tried that and it was fine - turns out others had done the same on here. Recommended.

I've got dual screens on our hom computer so like others I had both tabs on individual screens - I didn't find it too bad. Two computers does the same (also as others have observed).

Hope you are well and hope we're in for a thrilling (but safe) race.

Doubt there'll be any racing today. It's still raining. Another delay announced, Supersport now 3.00pm and reduced to 3 laps. 6.30pm for the lightweights.

Begger - think I'll go to bed then.  Here's hoping they can get a race in for all those supporting the races.  Outlook sounds pessimistic though.

Well, compared to the Duke app that was pretty poor to say the least ! Thank goodness the Manx Radio picked up a bit in the end. Maybe it might be improved ready for the Manx / Classic come August. Just one more thing now & that's to find out how to delete it !!!
