Isle of Man Steam Packet Company opens bookings for 2021

The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company has released its full timetable for 2021, meaning Island residents can start planning their future travel.

With the Isle of Man Government progressing its five-stage plan to relax border restrictions, which will see unrestricted travel to and from the Island gradually resume, the Company hopes the early release of the schedule will be welcome news to those looking to plan a future break in the UK, Ireland or beyond.

To help make travel as flexible as possible and give customers peace of mind when booking, the Steam Packet Company has introduced its ‘Book with Confidence Commitment’. Amendment fees will be waived if passengers choose to make changes along with the promise of a full refund if travel is affected by Government imposed COVID-19 travel restrictions.

The Steam Packet Company has released all sailings for 2021 and confirmed it will have more than 900,000 Offer Seats available to book during the year. This includes its great range of Car Offers, the return of the family favourite ‘Kids Go Free Summer Special’ and Foot Passenger Offers, with adults from £18.75 each way and children from £9.75 each way (infants under four continue to travel for free). For those that prefer to explore on two wheels there are some fantastic Motorbike Offers, and passengers can bring bicycles on board free of charge if that is more their style.

The Steam Packet Company provides fast, comfortable and convenient ferry travel to and from its UK and Ireland-based ports: Heysham, Liverpool, Dublin and Belfast.

With a crossing time of around 3 hours and 45 minutes, Ben-my-Chree will continue to operate twice-daily crossings to Heysham. Passengers travelling on this conventional ferry also have the option to book a private four-berth en-suite cabin to enjoy additional comfort, privacy and the chance to lay down their heads during the crossing.

Between March and November, Manannan will operate her usual seasonal services into the heart of Liverpool with a crossing time of around 2 hours and 45 minutes. The fast craft will also provide return ferry travel to Belfast and Dublin.

Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Chief Executive Mark Woodward said:

‘By releasing the 2021 timetable early, we hope to give Island residents eager for a well-deserved break the opportunity to start planning.

‘Taking the ferry is a great way to travel and lends itself well to breaks during the current climate. You have the ability to bring your own vehicle and drive straight on and off to your chosen destination - keeping contact with others to a minimum - book and enjoy your own private cabin on Ben-My-Chree, take advantage of the spacious layout of both vessels and breathe in the fresh air out on deck.

‘We understand that it can be worrying to book travel and that there is a lot of uncertainty around what may or may not happen at the moment. This is why our Book with Confidence Commitment is there - to give customers the reassurance to book ferry travel with the Steam Packet Company and know their booking is safe and fully flexible if there are changes.’
About the current safety measures in place for passengers,

Mark continued:

‘The safety and welfare of our passengers and crew remains our top priority. We have introduced a number of important measures to reduce risks on our vessels and at our ports, and are doing all we can to ease anxieties and make travelling as safe as possible. This means that everyone can enjoy the ease, comfort and convenience that ferry travel brings when they opt to travel to with us in 2021 and beyond.’
