Stalwart Southern 100 Marshal George Moore Passes
[Image: TTmarshallsPress Release.jpg]

The Southern 100 Marshals Association are saddened to learn of the passing of long time Southern 100 Marshal George Moore.

George marshalled at Church Bends for more than 30years and was a popular ‘character’ with both local and visiting fans, not only with his knowledge of the races, but also the many tales he could tell of his experiences of marshalling at Billown and on the Snaefell Mountain Course along with Jurby over the years.

Even when ill health prevented him from marshalling, George still managed to watch the ‘friendly races’ from what had become his favourite spot on the 4.25-mile course.

The Southern 100 Marshals Association, along with Southern 100 Racing wish to pass on their sincere condolences to his brother Roger and other family members and friends at this sad time.

George’s funeral will take place at Douglas Crematorium on Thursday 22nd October at 10.45am. Smart casual clothes are requested.
