Dovizioso and Petrucci return to the Spanish track for the penultimate race of the season.

After a European Grand Prix race strongly conditioned by changing weather conditions, the Ducati Team is back on the track in Valencia, this time for the Valencian Community GP. Both Ducati riders were slowed down by the volatile weather, competing on dry asphalt after two days of qualification rounds in the rain.

Dovizioso's eighth place and Petrucci's tenth place confirm that the Valencia track simply isn't a favourite of the Desmosedici GP, and at this point the riders will have to leverage the experience gained last weekend to improve their performance. The engineers in the Ducati pit will have to do their part to deduce all they can from the race and Michele Pirro's test runs on the Valencian track two weeks before.

Last weekend Jack Miller was the top Ducati rider. The Australian finished the race in sixth place after earning top positions in the qualification runs thanks to his superior skills on wet asphalt. Johann Zarco also did well, finishing behind Dovizioso, while Pecco Bagnaia was the victim of a fall on a day where sliding was quite frequent.
