Jeezo, that sounds like a fair ordeal you've been through Malcolm. Glad you have a recovery plan in front of you and hope you get through it well.

Mash is the food of champions! I'm sure you will soon have your strength back up and be flying through the physio work faster than Hicky over the mountain!

Sounds positive anyway! Good luck and best wishes with your rehab!

Hope everything goes well Malcolm.
If you need an escape plan I'm taking our camper van (converted ambulance with ramps & wheelchair fastenings!) to Preston Peugeot on Blackpool road later,
I can nip round & pick you up!

Good to hear the news is positive, albeit with a long road ahead.

Best wishes continue to be sent.

RE: Future of TT Website
Hi Folks,

Just to let you know that I am still here in Preston Royal and now feeling so much better after my Surgery.

I am still in Rehab here as the Half Way Rehabilitation Hospital in St Annes does not have bed for me yet.

I have to say that the two Sugeons who operated on me have done a fabulous job, and they are more than pleased with the results so far.

I have an appointment with them at 16:00 hrs today, and I hope to find out more on what their plans are for me.

I know that I will have to come back in for a couple of days further down the line, for an  overall check on progress and to carry out a reversible item of surgery, carried out during the initial Theatre visit.

Still on a lot of painkillers, but got rid of the Morphine a day or two back.

Generally I am feeling much, much better, and now I have to get up on my feet and prove that I can walk with stability etc

A way to go yet, but all positive so far.

Many thanks for all the messages, it really is appreciated.

Malcolm.

That's good to hear Malcolm,
onwards & upwards, as they say!
All the best to you.

My van just spent a week (at the main dealers) in Preston, it's just the same now as it was when it went in,
they don't know what's wrong with it!!!
My wallet's much lighter though! Icon_confused

(31-08-2021, 09:12 AM)Malcolm Wrote: Hi Chris,

I will of course be retaining ownership of the names I have related to the TT including TTwebsite, as I am already thinking of perhaps coming back in the future (health permitting of course), to maybe try a fresh approach to what I have done over the years.

The entire website will be downloaded onto a separate External Hard drive in order to retain all of the historical facts and photographs etc, collected over the years.

Who knows what the future holds ? So let's just say, I am not giving up, merely taking a holiday away from it all, to concentrate on my health for a wee while.

Take care all of you, and once again I thank you all for the comments and support over the years,

Sincerely,
Due to my Covid I've only just found your posts. I do hope you're feeling better. Are you still in Preston or back home ? The loss of this site would be a bigger blow than losing the 'scouts' scoreboard as you're very much part of the build up to the TT every year. Come back soon

Malcolm
