In the hedges.
I think everybody has seen the videos on You Tube etc of spectators in the hedges.
Can anybody tell me where it is?
I can get around on the Island this year so would love to get to one of those positions.
Thanks.

As c iom tt says, everywhere.

We all have our favorites though and I've got mine......

Top of barregarrow
Glen duff (council yard)
Fields back from Glen Helens (double left)
Union mills
Morown
Crosby
Ballacrye
Bungalow
Hailwood heights
Gorse lea
Greeba
Hawthorne
Highlander

Gawd, there's so many, too many to write.

As is Laurel Bank II now you don't have to mountain climb down from the Road of the Shallow Ford. You can park on the inside of the bend now but you are there for the duration.

Top of Barregarrow is my favourite, I’ll be there to watch the Superbike race on the Sunday.
Ballacrye jump is awesome, I’ve never watched from Crosby jump so I may have a gander there this year.
Sulby Bridge is good as is The Gooseneck. The list is endless.
The excitement is building, I’m on the 0215 Friday morning from Heysham.

Same here, every year I have to take one day at the top of barregarrow. I too plan the superbike race there on Sunday.

The big bikes are truly breathtaking through there.

My favourite hedge is Ballacry on the left. Forbidden to visit by now I suppose. I have many good photos of flying motorbikes from there!
Don't be that optimistic! The light in the tunnel can be a train. Sad

Fantastic. Think I will try Barregarrow first.
Could anybody give me a specific place? I dont want to upset any locals.
Where to park my bike etc.
Thanks everybody for the replies and advice.

You can park on the lane adjacent to the church and cross the road or turn right into the lane opposite the church, first left takes you into the field at the bottom of the campsite.

I usually park on the lane adjacent to the church though, as it's easier to head off after the racing. I generally drop down the back lane to the peel coast road and head back that way. I never travel against the racing direction on any part of the course and barregarrow can be lairy to get out of.

If you head up the land past the campsite you can get to Douglas on closed roads . So depending on where your staying as to which side of the track you park on . There also a begger van on the field near the campsite so you can get a brew and some food .

The 11th is a good spot, and you are really in the hedge. You can park in the field behind, but you need to bring everything with you food and drinks wise.

Last time i were at the 11th we parked up at cronk y voddy and walked down. Great spot though.

I might pay the 11th a visit this year, it's been a long time since i were there.

Forget Ballacrye, it's all restricted now on the far side of the jump. Tried to get a spot in the hedge last year and swiftly got moved on by the Marshalls.

Yeah, it's been restricted for a few year now. Great back in the day, as was rhencullen 2, in fact rhencullen 1 has been pulled back a long way these days too.

Use to sit in the bomb hole on the inside of Rhencullen next to the telegraph pole. What a great spot. But sadly another one lost to health and safety

I use to sit on the grass bank at the bus stop by Ginger Hall, Last year it was restricted, and I have no idea why. I have never heard or seen any issues there. Same at Balaspur Farm.

I like the look of the 11th. If I park in the field by Cronk Y Voddy am I able to walk down to it through the fields?

Yes, but better when roads are open as the better spots are on the inside of the course and an easier walk down on the pavement.

You're parking on the outside and watching from the inside.

I've parked in the field at the 11th before,,careful parking, it's very steep
