The art of winning.......

Crossing the line first IN THE SLOWEST POSSIBLE TIME.

I think to much emphasis is placed on "Fast, Faster, Fastest" in relation to the general advertising and promotion of the TT.

And the reduced qualifying times cannot be condusive to safety improvement, especially at the end of practice week if there have been lost sessions.

From my personal position the foc entries are a massive incentive for the MGP boys to move up to the TT. Please don't start jumping on me again by saying the TT is for the elite as i believe the Elite must start somewhere and where better than the Manx.

I have scrimped and saved like the rest of us to do three MGP's in the last five years with a forced break due to lack of finances, this break cost me my entry into the Junior MGP last year with a fully prepped bike ready to go, fortunately i got out in the 400's albeit on a last minute borrowed damaged repairable road bike 400.
I have nothing to lose by trying my luck at getting a run out at this years TT, financially any help toward the costs is a massive boost in comparison to the MGP where you have all the same expenses but no chance at any help whatsoever bar sponsors.

Now i have to squeeze in two meetings before the end of March but if that's what i have to do to do fulfill my dream then that's what i'll do.
I was planning on the TT next year with some Irish rounds etc under my belt this year and the Manx but this has accelerated my plans!

It is annoying when there are TT boys getting paid appearance money and there are lads doing faster lap times in the Manx! (not me!, yet!)
