As the British Soap Awards are on tele at the minute, here is a soap puzzle, set in "Millionaire" format:
Which famous TT racer has appeared in Coronation Street: Joey Dunlop; Steve Hislop; Mike Hailwood or Tony Rutter ?

I reckon it was Mike the Bike - a long time ago - in the Ena Sharples era, seem to remember it involved a load of coffee bar racers.

Giving an award to a soap opera is like giving McDonalds a Michelin star................

Can I have a 50/50 please ......
When people say one thing and mean another its called politics, when organisers say one thing and mean another its called a mistake, when the ACU say one thing and mean another its called information.

Bill has it just about spot on - I should have known that as well as being 'of a certain age' he is also far too knowledgable! smilie

It was the late great Mike, in 1963. He was visiting Reg Dearden, whose place was near Granada studios, when some studio runner came in and asked Reg if he knew any likely bikers to act as noisy hooligans whizzing down Inkerman Street, and he promptly volunteered SMBH, who apparently really enjoyed the visit to the set.
