Copied from the Herald.ie site:

A 70-year-old man has been injured in an incident at a road race in Skerries in Dublin.

It happened when 3 motorbikes collided at around 5pm this evening and burning petrol from the bikes engulfed the spectator.

latest, the guy is stable, think 2 bikes, not 3 bikes involved, both riders suffered minor injuries, ie most seriousd, broken collarbone

RE: Skerries Incident
crazy times...apparently the tank of johnstons bike burst on impact showering the old man in petrol and then he caught fire...only heard that through the grapevine, but if its true, well talk about freak accidents

He is someone who has done a great deal for racing, and I am sure we would all wish him a speedy recovery.
