These MGP wallah's are everywhere!
Tootling across from Malham to Arncliffe yesterday, stopped to let a National Trust wagon go past. Driver noticed the Manx plates. "I'll be over in a few weeks to ride the Classic Lap". Steve Smith, Lightweight Classic leaderboard man.
On the way back on the Ben my Chree today, chatting with Dave Arnold, winner of the 1973 Lightweight Manx.
Question:
What is geared like a Goldie, rattles like a Vincent and has a compression ration of about 4.5 to 1, but I love it?

Yup, got it off Ebay, went to Leicester to pick it up and found I used to sell the vendor Velo spares from Dodkin''s many years ago - small world eh?
His brother rode passenger for Dave Dickinson at the TT.
Rode it back yesterday, best and longest ride for years!
