Killalane Road Races - 250's News
Next weekend all roads lead to the Annual Killalane Road Races. Organised by the Loughshinny Motorcycle Supporters Club and now in it's 24th year, the Country Crest sponsored meeting brings the 2008 season to a close. It is also the final round of the Fingal based 2 Stroke Racing Supporters Club championship. The prize fund for the 250 race stands at a total of €2,600 and paid down to the 10th rider home. The prize money with €1,600 sponsored by local businessman Gary Ryan of Street Sweep and the 2 Strokers Club and the remaining €1,000 from the Loughshinny Club make this the second highest 250 Irish National championship race after the Skerries 250 race in July.

250 North West winner Michael Dunlop leads the 2 Stroke Racing Supporters Club championship on 175 points with elder brother William on 150, Davy Morgan is third on 113, Barry Davison fourth on 91, and Rathfarnham rider Emo Hughes 72 points, Ivan Linton 61 and Sam Dunlop with 57 points.

On saturday night the '2 Strokers' are holding an 'end of season' fundraiser with Bogs O' the Lough in The Yacht Bar - always a popular night for riders and supporters alike.

Practice around the 3.6 mile circuit will be held on saturday with roads closing between 1pm and 7pm and on raceday (sunday) between 10am and 6.30pm. Supporters are asked to obey the marshals and support the meeting by buying a programme....oh, and bin yer litter!!
The 2 Stroke Racing Supporters Club would like to thank all their members and advertisers for their continued support and Good Luck to all competitors and have a safe weekends racing.

see y'all next weekend smilie
