After 7 years of flying to the MGP (usually for race week) I have decided to go next year by IoM Steam Packet.

Reason for this, as I found out this year when I went for 10 days, the cost of car hire and parking increases and you also have to take more clothes etc. So I thought by going for 14 days to the Manx I could actually save some cash by doing it this way (it's around £550 for flights, car hire and parking for 14 days)

I called the friendly people at the Steam Packet co and gave them the dates I wanted, which they could do and if I paid £20.00 now it would secure them. Great. How much will it cost overall? "Don't know Sir" was the reply. Well how much was it last year? (Car & 2 passengers) "Don't know Sir" came the reply.

So, good people who go by car and take the wife along with you, how much do you reckon it would, approximately, cost?

Car plus me for this years Manx - £259.00 return

It depends when you travel,I went to this years MGP Wednesday 11-15am
and came back the following Thursday 3-15pm for me and the bike £98.
The lad who was camped next to me went am Friday and came home on the same boat as me cost him £198.
So it may well pay you to look up times and days.
