Seamus Greene Fundraiser
Seamus Greene Fundraiser
As we are all aware, after a long wait, Seamus Greene is now in re hab in London.
Thanks to the the hard working family members and friends, Money raised was put towards seeking medical help for Seamus.
Since he went to the RHN in London, Seamus has only started the re hab programme last week, this will continue until Jan 28th 2009.
The present situation is, that the funds are insufficient to keep Seamus in this hospital after this date!, It is hoped that with further treatment, that Seamus will respond more progressively, but time would appear to be on the short side!
Thanks to a bunch of supporters from Skerries, along with the help of the Kells MCC, There will be a fundraising night in the Headfort Arms Hotel in Kells, on Friday 30th Jan.
This will consist of a Chat show with star riders, both from home and across the water.
So far, the Celeb list of riders include;
GARY JOHNSTON
NICK CROWE (SIDECARS)
IAN LOUGHER
JOHN BURROWS
TIM REEVES
JAMES COURTNEY
MICHAEL DUNLOP
WILLIAM DUNLOP
DAMIEN MULLEADY
ADRIAN ARCHIBALD
JOHN WALSH
RYAN FARQUHAR
STEPHEN THOMSON
MICK CHATTERTON
Comperes for the night will be our own George McCann and hopefully Manx Radios Chris Kinley.
Admission is a mere 10 euro, Doors open at 8.00pm, the usual procedure for the night, Excellent prizes donated by riders will be up for grabs etc,
The Kells MCC are footing the bill for the posters/tickets etc
Rooms reserved for the riders on the panel are being sponsored, whilst Gary Ryan of Street Sweep is looking after the flights for overseas riders who will be appearing on the night!
We trust that you will be supportive of this event.

I just want to say one thing if thats ok. No where, in no matter what sport you could mention, would you find great people like you do in Motorcycle racing. Baylon you are a credit to the sport.

Get well soon Seamus.

Have PM'd you Baylon.
When people say one thing and mean another its called politics, when organisers say one thing and mean another its called a mistake, when the ACU say one thing and mean another its called information.

RE: Seamus Greene Fundraiser
Hey Pykey, ya have hit it on the nail here!!!, whilst i am all for anyhting that brings in a few quid to help Seamus, i am totally against the fact that expenses for visiting personell are being paid for, AND that 20 rooms have neen paid for as well, NOW if ANYONE can convince me, that the costs of bringing over anyone, will be any more profitable, if they werent there at all??
and as ya say Pykey, how many of them bothered to visit Seamus??
i know this e who did, and it wont take up too much space to write their names!!
JOHN BURROWS and IAN LOUGHER , Martin Finnegan did, but sadly no longer with us, AND John Burrows wasnt even asked , until Seamus sister was made aware of the fact!!, and she was horrified when told of this!!, Joni B was a mate of Seamus, and visited him quite often, and was over in Putney recently to see hm!!

I would like to send 10 pounds for a ticket to the Heathforts Arms function. I won't be able to attend but maybe someone would let me know where to send the money.
Many thanks.
