I, for one, am extremely sad that you have decided to hang up your TT leathers.

However, on reflection, it is a wise decision and we, your many fans, will all have some great memories of your involvement with the Isle of Man races.

I remember you from your first year in 1991 with your orange jacket, that awful box-size room in the hotel on the sea front, and then the years we had up at the Onchan residence with Doug and the Suzuki.

I remember, with awe, your rides on the Britten and also the strange front fork machine (what was its name ?)

Good days indeed.

Hope to meet up with you in the future.

Shaun, I concur with the sentiments of Ian and wish you and your family all the best in life from this point forward, and I am sure that all of the folk who frequent TTwebsite will agree with that.

You have been an inspiration to many, with your attitude and endeavour over the past 2 years, showing grit and determination that many could not even come close to.

I personally thank you for your contributions to the Eary Morning Bus Tour in 2007, of which all persons present, appreciated very much.

Hopefully, I can catch up with you at TT2009.

All the best,

Malcolm.
Be right back. I am going to go find myself, and if I leave before I get back, make sure to tell me !! -

I think this has presented the TT organisers with a great chance to sign up Shaun to serve in the position(s) in which he is perfect.

Liason officer , adviser, assistant clerk of the course, the list is endless.

He would also be a great asset in the commentators box as well !!

He could also help to remake "No Limit" in colour !!

Talented as Shaun is I suspect he'd need ukulele lessons first

Ian, you have brought back memories of meeting Shaun, Doug Randall (whom i already knew, myself coming from Newbury), & yourself in 92' in an Indian Restaurant up at Onchan one evening.
Good luck Shaun in whatever you do & thanks for the memories as they say smilie smilie.
Grey-haired riders don't get that way from pure luck.

Hi VEE FOUR ! How are you diddling ?

I remember that evening very well.

Even today, if you look up to the ceiling in that restaurant there are still some of those little prawny parcel things which Doug decided he did not like so he flicked them up and they stuck there !!

In answer to "ukele", I think Shaun can turn his hand to most things and he needs to continue to make money.

Any thoughts Shaun ???

Shaun, just remember, you have absolutely nothing to prove. I was one of the lucky ones to have watched you race at the Isle of Man. You have a special ingredient running through your veins and that's called TT. Be proud of that additive and I'm sure it will see you involved in some capacity in the TT some time in future.
But for now, from a fellow ANZAC I wish you and your family all the very best.

All respect to you Shaun. You have nothing to prove. You've already proved it, more times and more so than any of us here watching. Good on ya mate.
