John had an accident while supporting the TT races on Tuesday of race week and unfortunately John sustained very serious injuries

He was air lifted to the UK and is currently being cared for in a UK hospital.

John’s family are travelling to and from the UK to support him during his recovery, which will take a considerable amount of time.


John has been a TT and MGP Travelling Marshall for the last 15 years and has given so much of his time and support to motorcycle racing on the IOM, which is the sport he loves.

Plans are underway to hold a special night for John at the British Legion in Douglas.

This will be held on the 21st August 2009.

The event will be supported by a well known Isle of Man (OLD) rock band ( Phantoms) as well as a night at the races during the evening and a raffle.
