Gearlink Kawasaki Part Company With Lee Johnston

It is with regret that Gearlink Kawasaki has parted company with Lee Johnston. The Northern Ireland rider partnered Ben Wilson and Jesse Trayler in the British Supersport championship but after just four rounds of the series he has decided to withdraw from the team.

He has taken longer than expected to familiarise himself with the Gearlink Kawasaki Supersport machine and, having scored only 11 points in the four races to date, 14th in the rider standings is not where he wants or expects to be.

Michael de Bidaph – team owner and manager

I am sorry that Lee has decided to leave the team but totally respect his decision. The split is an amicable one and I have very much enjoyed working with Lee and his family and wish him all the best for the future.

The team have yet to decide if they will replace Johnston but with four week’s before the next round of the series there is plenty of time to consider the options.
Be right back. I am going to go find myself, and if I leave before I get back, make sure to tell me !! -
