A giant leap for Lougher

“We made a big step forward in the practice session last night. I managed to complete three laps on the Team DMRR Honda Racing CBR1000RR Fireblade and significantly improved my time and average speed since Monday’s practice.

“We fitted softer front forks and rear suspension before the session and made a few additional changes to the bike after the first lap. I think these improvements to the machine suited the bumpy road better. I feel much more comfortable on the machine and I’m a lot happier with the set-up overall – although I know there is still more work to be done. I posted the fourth best time of 18:19.30 (123.559mph) in the Superbike practice yesterday, which I’m really pleased about.

“I also managed to improve my time and average speed on the Team DMRR Honda Racing CBR600RR since the last practice session. I posted the seventh quickest time of 19:05.31 (118.595mph) in the Supersport practice – which is a giant leap forward for the team.

“I think the bike is still slightly over-geared but I’m confident we can make some more improvements before the first Supersport race kicks off of Monday.”
