The event will be open for four hours to the public from 4pm on Wednesday 6 April and the main attraction will undoubtedly be the Honda Racing riders and their championship and race winning machines.

HM Plant Honda Racing's Michael Rutter and Ryuichi Kiyonari will be there, along with Honda-Racing.co.uk's Karl Harris and Red Bull Honda's Jonathan Rea, Eugene Laverty and rising star Chris Jones. The riders will be available for question and answer sessions and autograph signings from 4pm onwards.

As well as having the opportunity to meet the biggest team in the British Superbike paddock, visitors to the event will also be able to see the race winning HM Plant Honda Racing CBR1000RR Fireblades in the flesh. The Honda-Racing.co.uk and Red Bull Honda CBR1000RR Fireblades, the Red Bull Honda CBR600RR and Red Bull Honda RS125 machines will also be making an appearance.

Since opening in 2003, Portsmouth Motorcycles has enthusiastically participated in a number of motorcycle events including hosting five motorcycle club demonstration days. In addition, the dealership has also actively sponsored charity rides for good causes such as Children in Need.

However, Portsmouth Motorcycles Managing Director Fred Watson thinks this year's Honda Racing British Superbike open day will be one of its biggest events yet. "We hosted a visit by Michael Rutter, Ryuichi Kiyonari and Karl Harris last year," he said. "However, we think that with the help of Honda UK, Honda Racing and our major suppliers and associates, we can top it this year! I hope that the event will bring enjoyment to as many race fans, customers and the general public as possible."

Portsmouth Motorcycles is situated at the Mountbatten Business Park, Units 3 and 4, Jackson Close in Drayton, Portsmouth. The show will be open to the public on Wednesday 6 April from 4pm until 8pm, which is just before the second British Superbike round at Thruxton on 8-10 April.
