Thread: What would you like to see changed for next year?
Post: RE: What would you like to see changed for next ye...
Standing in escape routes is bad, and I'm surprised they weren't asked to move; increased personal risk is one thing, but being in a place where they could interfere with the handling of an incident ... |

Thread: Red flags
Post: RE: Red flags
It works well, and the CoC is quick to make the call. The riders do slow down under waved yellows, so it's generally safe. The biggest frustration is that when there's an incident spectators often run... |

Thread: Red flags
Post: RE: Red flags
I've marshalled since 2010, and the difference when Gary Thompson became CoC is incredible. He has enormous respect for the marshals, makes quick decisions, and trusts us to make recommendations. I do... |

Thread: Red flags
Post: RE: Red flags
Marshals at the scene request a red flag if they think it's warranted, and describe the scene to race control. Race control or CoC make the decision based on the information given to them by the marsh... |

Thread: Waved Yellows
Post: RE: Waved Yellows
Based on our sector, I'd estimate there are around 270 marshalling points, and all have yellow, green and LoA flags. Red flags are only at locations where machines can safely pull in. Rain flags are a... |

Post: RE: Waved Yellows
It is interesting to hear from a racer's perspective that slightly wet roads can be worse than standing water. And that you can see standing water and avoid it at 180mph...very impressive! Our logic i... |

There is a rain flag (white with a red cross) to be shown when there is standing water on the track. Lack of adhesion should not be used for water, but for any other issues, such as oil, melting tarma... |
