Garry Dickinson info
Garry has multiple fractures, but he's fairly comfortable and doctors wondering which bit to mend first. At the mo he's in Scarborough hospital, but they are on about moving him to Hull because he has a neck injury. They are allowing visitors at the minute, but I would suggest phoning first in case he's being worked on.
Get well soon, Garry!

Hi this is Gaynor, garrys girlfriend. Thankyou for everyones well wishes to a very special and lucky man. He is very broken up. He has a broken neck, back, back ribs, right arm shattered, left arm two breaks, damaged ankle and a head injury. He hasnt lost any teeth, He was on life support for two days before consultants could even think of where to start first. He has had two blood transfusions, he was reoperated on yesterday which took six hours to try and save his right arm, The brave decision that garry forced me into moving him from scarboro to doncaster in the middle of the night was down to Garry. I had no choice and was the longest most frightening experiance of my life. However i got him there safe and luckily if i hadnt his arms would be of no use to him, as scarbough just didnt have the expertise to carry out the necessary work he drastically needed. garry will be retiring from racing sadly but he is well aware that hes lucky to be alive. He cannot remember the accident, or his time in icu due to his coma. That i thank god for. his accident was due to break failure. He will be well cared for at my home when he next escapes hospital however i will tie him down if i have too, and no doubt he will still be around at the tracks next year as a spectator. Thankyou all again for your kind words and support, eventually he willl be able to read these himself. Regards and love, Gaynor.
