JHK T-shirt Laglisse’s Ana Carrasco and team manager Pablo Nieto talk about her first outing in the Moto3™ test in Valencia and what it means to be the first woman in the category.

Carrasco commented: “The press is always more concerned with girls than with boys, because it's a novelty, but I don’t care that much and I think it will be the same...

“In the Spanish Championship you could tell the boys were a bit upset if I overtook them when we were racing or if I finished in front of them.

“There are some riders who know me from last year, but those who didn’t not know me I think would have been surprised. But in the end they have to get used to having a women on the grid.”

Nieto added:

“I think if it is difficult for all the girls to work in a place where there are mostly men. It's hard for a girl to do a sport where you can crash, have contact with boys, or men, but in any case, she is very young, it is very clear in her mind and I know she can do it perfectly.”
