The reigning 125cc World Champion and his British rival shared first position on the timesheet on the final day of the Test on Saturday.

Marc Márquez and Scott Redding were in fine form on the third and final day of the Moto2 Test at Valencia on Saturday, as both riders clocked a best unofficially timed lap of 1'35.6 to share top spot on the timesheet. The duo, who were equal on Friday as well when they shared joint-fifth position, took a full second of their respective times from the previous day as their preparations for the 2011 World Championship took encouraging steps forward.

2010 Championship runner-up Julián Simón, who on Friday was the quickest rider, was third at three-tenths down on the pair, with Yuki Takahashi, Tom Lüthi and Stefan Bradl all registering times of 1'36.0 as they occupied the top six positions in a closely matched final day field.

Andrea Iannone is another name who has featured at the sharp end of the timings in this Test and the Italian was up there on day three too, as both he and Aleix Espargaró posted best efforts of 1'36.1.

The top ten was completed by Alex de Angelis and Michele Pirro, whilst Claudio Corti, Simone Corsi, Axel Pons and Frenchman Mike di Meglio all got within a second of the fastest lap.
