Coghlan escapes uninjured from Qatar crash
The Scottish rider suffered the disappointment of crashing out of the opening race of the Moto2 season at Losail over the weekend.

Kev Coghlan’s Moto2 race ended in disappointment on Sunday in Qatar, when the Scottish rider of the Aeroport de Castelló team crashed out of the race with 14 laps remaining having risen to 28th spot from 33rd on the grid.

Kev Coghlan:

“On the first lap I had a coming together with another rider which cost me some positions, but then I was able to work my way up lap by lap and I was running as fast as the riders ahead. However, going into a turn I lost the direction and I hit the floor. I’m not happy with the outcome because it doesn’t reflect all the hard work we did throughout the weekend. It’s the first crash I’ve had at all this year, and it happened at the worst possible moment; in the race.”
