Metzeler National Superstock 1000 Championship

Howie Mainwaring won a race halted by rain at two thirds distance by 0.168secs from Richard Cooper with Luke Quigley in third place.

Victor Cox had made the early running but soon was taken by MSS Colchester Kawasaki's Mainwaring and on the third lap Cooper had nosed his Buildbase BMW into second place from Cox.

Jimmy Storrar and Luke Quigley were menacing on their BMWs and soon duelling with Blackhorse Kawasaki's Cox but he crashed out of contention on the ninth lap.

Mainwaring took the victory ahead of Cooper, Quigley, Storrar and Tristan Palmer.

Metzeler National Superstock 600 Championship

Conor Behan boosted his hopes of snatching the title as he smashed the lap record to take a dominant first victory of the campaign aboard the Team Green Bristol Kawasaki, leading throughout the race and taking the verdict by 2.33secs from Freddie Russo and Alex Olsen.

Series leading Keith Farmer moved into contention after the intervention of the Nissan GTR Safety Car had bunched the pack after Daniel Murphy had tipped off Paddock Hill Bend on the third lap. Earlier James East and Glen Irwin had gone down at Druids while Brad Anderson also fell.

Farmer took over in fifth place after Deane Brown crashed out at Stirlings and then found a way past Johnny Blackshaw on the penultimate lap to finish the race in fourth place his lead over Behan cut to 26 points.

Sunoco British 125GP Championship

Kyle Ryde snatched the victory in a photo-finish dash to the line, coming through from third at the last corner to slipstream ahead of Wayne Ryan and Rob Guiver.

The three had scrapped relentlessly throughout the 11 lapper trading places and the lead but Ryde made the telling move at the end winning the dash to the line by 0.035secs over Ryan with Guiver third, his lead in the title stakes cut to 16 over Ryan.

Ryde with this victory is well in contention for the crown, only a further 11 points down on Ryan.

Luke Hedger ran fourth from Lee Jackson.

Neither John McPhee nor Fraser Rogers started the race - their Racing Steps Foundation KRP team withdrew them, considering that the presence of pole starter McPhee and fifth fastest Rogers whose priorities are the Spanish CEV Championship would interfere with the regulars in the closely fought British Championship.

"We feel it only fair to leave the tremendous battle for the championship to the regular riders," explained a team statement.

Harley-Davidson XR1200 Trophy

James Webb followed his victory on the Indy circuit with a hard earned success on the Grand Prix circuit as he headed off Peter Ward, whom he leads 126-114 in the title stakes, by little more than half a second after ten frantic laps.

Alex Gault ran third ahead of Torquil Paterson, Rob McNealy and Alex Hutchinson.

Triumph Triple Challenge

Luke Jones completed the Brands Hatch double in thrilling style - the former British 125GP Champion had won a thriller over Ashley Beech on the Indy circuit on Friday afternoon and the battling duo provided an action replay over 10 laps of the Grand Prix circuit.

Jones, en route to his seventh victory of the season, made the break but there was no shaking off Beech as they ran little more than a couple of bike lengths apart throughout and at the end of the race there was just 0.033secs between them.

Tommy Dale took a distant third place, crossing the line 15seconds down, with Pete Ward fourth from Phil Atkinson and Freddy Pett.

Ducati 848 Challenge

Leon Morris enhanced his lead in the title stakes as he took a comfortable victory, crossing the line 3.596secsd ahead of Mike Edwards who was second for the second time this weekend. Robbie Brown ran third ahead of Darren Fry and the winner of Friday's race Kenny Gilbertson.

The next round of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship is the August Bank Holiday (27-29 August) 'Party in the Park' at Cadwell Park.
