Cadwell Park test notes: Brookes and Seeley wrap up early
[Image: relentless2011hdr.jpg]

Relentless Suzuki by TAS riders Josh Brookes and Alastair Seeley were on circuit at Cadwell Park today (Thursday) getting in some track time ahead of the ninth round of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship next weekend as the pair prepare to fight for the Superbike and Fuchs Silkolene British Supersport Championship titles respectively.

Brookes had tested at Cadwell Park before the start of the season and used the time to work on engine and gearing changes, whilst still showing his spectacular style over the Mountain section. Seeley meanwhile is determined to close the 43 point deficit to title leader Gearlink Kawasaki's Ben Wilson next weekend and worked through a variety of changes to suit the challenging Lincolnshire circuit.

Brookes said after the test:

"Today was just a trackday so was literally impossible to get clear laps on the circuit apart from in the lunchtime, when we had about 15 minutes and I did eight laps out there on my own. It doesn't seem like much but it was good for us to get some things in place and it gave us some new ideas to work with for next weekend. We have made some changes that were quite different from what we have already tried and it was more about the information than the lap times. That will then be beneficial to fix problems we might have in the future and ultimately that should help us before next weekend. We played around with the engines and gearing which wasn't perfect for today but we know now what we need for next weekend and we are confident ahead of those three races."

Seeley added:

"Today was a decent enough day really, it was just a shame it rained so early but we have had enough wet weather practice so we packed up early. We made lots of changes this morning with gearing and suspension to suit the undulations of Cadwell Park and we got a real feel for the changes with some longer runs, despite some traffic. We know we have the pace so hopefully next weekend we have a repeat of Brands Hatch and have another good fight for those wins!"
