Steve Henshaw
International
Gold Cup Road Races
Saturday & Sunday
17th & 18th August 2011

The stars of road racing are all heading to Scarborough on the 17th & 18th September for the Steve Henshaw International Gold Cup Road Races.

Heading the list is seven times ‘Gold Cup’ winner Guy Martin riding the Relentless Suzuki Machines.

However, the Lincolnshire rider won’t have an easy time as he attempts to regain the coveted ‘Steve Henshaw Gold Cup’ he handed over to Ian Hutchinson last year after having won the feature race every year between 2003 and 2009, with ‘Mount’ specialists Ian Lougher and Ryan Farquhar equally determined to take the chequered flag first.

Add in the on-form Michael Dunlop and fellow TT winner John McGuinness and the competition intensifies to melting point!

Adding more spice to the menu will be William Dunlop, Michael Pearson, Derek Sheils and Adrian Archibald.

In the Lightweight classes Chris Palmer will renew his life-long rivalry with Ian Lougher, with the likes of William Dunlop, Lee Vernon, Daniel Frear, Phil Harvey, Tony Flinton, and fresh from his Manx Grand Prix victory Gavin Lupton all out to spoil the veterans fun.

The Sidecar entry is also impressive with Conrad Harrison, Ian Bell and Tony Thirkell all out to prove they are the three-wheel ‘Masters of the Mount’!

The action packed 21-race programme gets underway at 10.30am on Saturday and Sunday 17th & 18th September and whilst advance admission tickets have been sold out for some time, admission on Saturday is £20.00 and Sunday £25.00.

Camping is available at £10.00 per pitch per night and children under 15 are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.

With full grids for every race the Steve Henshaw International Gold Cup Road Races is not to be missed with the cream of pure road racers all present and demonstrating their unique skills around the picturesque hillside Oliver’s Mount course in North Yorkshire.
