The PTR Honda team of Patrick ‘PJ’ Jacobsen and Ronan Quarmby, along with the Bogdanka PTR Honda team of Sam Lowes and Mathew Scholtz and the Riders PTR Honda team of Martin Jessopp will have their first shakedown test of 2012 at the Almeria track in Spain on Thursday and Friday 19-20th January.

After Almeria the PTR Honda squad makes its way to Phillip Island in Australia for the first official test on 20th and 21st February. The opening round of the World Supersport Championship takes place at Phillip Island on 26th February.

PTR Team Manager Simon Buckmaster said:

“We are looking forward to testing in Almeria. Ostensibly this is a shakedown ahead of our first official test at Phillip Island.

“We will welcome four new riders to the team at Almeria and it is an opportunity for all of us to get to know each other building up to the start of the season.

“The PTR technicians have been busy during the off-season developing our race bike and we are in good shape but there is a lot more work to do before the first race weekend and this shakedown test will help us a lot.”
